In line with the Football Association’s wider Respect initiative, RITC has designed Respect workshops to use young people’s love of football to encourage and promote good behaviour.
- Through fun and interactive sessions in schools, participants are taught how to:
- Identify unacceptable behaviour and its effects on others
Develop an understanding of respect and how this can be taken into daily life
See situations from other people’s perspective
The session aims to help pupils understand the consequences of their behaviour and how this can affect not just themselves but others at school, home and in the local community.
The session is delivered over a two hour period with one hour being theory based, involving interactive videos and worksheets, and the other hour being practical based, looking at aspects of respect within a sporting context.
