Level 3 – Sport – Pathway 2 Sports Therapy and Health

Course Overview

The Sports Therapy and Health programme is equivalent in size to three A Levels.

The course consists of a blend in sports coaching units and sports science related content such as Anatomy and Physiology, Sports Injuries, Sports Massage and Sports Nutrition.

It is best suited to learners who want to progress to higher education programmes in the Sport and Exercise Science or Sports Therapy sector.


Entry Requirements

  • 5 GCSEโ€™s (A โ€“ C or equiv grade 4 and above)
  • Successful interview
  • Strong interest in sport 
  • Willingness to learn

Future job rules include Exercise Therapist, Exercise Rehabilitation Instructor and Sports Massage Therapist.  Learners will also have the skills and expertise to work with beginners up to high-level performers. Students will be able to work in roles in sports clubs, progressing to working with elite performers in industry based roles in many capacities.
