The Level 2 Sport, Exercise and Health programme has been developed to give learners the opportunity to enter employment in the sport and active leisure sector or to progress to vocational qualifications such as BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport. This route provides a wide range of practical sporting experiences in relation to the sports industry which can assist in decision making process of what career route learners would like to pursue.

4 GCSEs at grade D or above
Written reports, practical assessments, portfolios, presentations, posters/leaflets and various online assessments.
Successful candidates may progress to further education, such as the Level 3 Extended Diploma, work or other vocational opportunities.
Learners will have the opportunity to represent Reds in the Community in football matches against other football clubs or gain vital coaching work experience within other RITC activities delivered at Oakwell or across Barnsley. This route also offers a wide range of other work placements opportunities around Oakwell.
