Barnsley FC Community Trust and Barnsley FC is calling on fans to show their generosity by supporting the Reds Against Hunger donation drive on Saturday, 15th February 2025, when the Reds take on Huddersfield Town at Oakwell.
Supporters are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations to help those in need, with all contributions going directly to Barnsley Foodbank. Donations will be collected in the Ozone on matchday, but fans who are unable to bring items on the day can also drop off their contributions at Barnsley FC Community Trust prior to the game.
The initiative aims to support local individuals and families facing food insecurity, ensuring they have access to essential food supplies. Barnsley FC and Barnsley FC Community Trust are proud to stand with the community and urges fans to come together for this important cause.
Georgina Arnold, Development and Communications Administrator, said:
“We are thrilled to be working alongside Barnsley FC and Barnsley Community Trust again. Last year, we gave out the equivalent of 205,313 meals to individuals in crisis across Barnsley. We are having a busy Winter, with food parcel requests expected to incline as the year goes on. The support we receive from the team is amazing and we wish them luck in the match too!”

Fans attending the game are encouraged to bring items such as tinned goods, pasta, rice, cereals, and other essential food items.
