Premier League Fans Fund
The fund supports a range of fan-focused and fan-led projects, helping to foster a sense of belonging through meaningful engagement. This includes schemes for under-represented groups, to further develop an inclusive and welcoming matchday experience for everyone.
Premier League funding supports projects that respond to local need, and which aim to improve the match day environment for fans and/or residents, address fan behaviour, and community impact such as the cost-of-living crisis, build upon a club’s heritage and engage and support underrepresented fan groups (disability, ethnicity, LGBTQ+, women and girls), and fan behaviour.
Through the delivery of our Premier League Fans Fund project, we are delivering; Reminiscent Reds, Inclusive Reds, Reds Unite, Home Debut and you will find us in the oZone pre-match as part of our Matchday experience.
Reds Unite!
We are excited to launch our Reds Unite programme!
Working closely with the BAME Communities of Barnsley, such as the Muslim Faith Community, refugee’s, asylum seekers and other underrepresented groups. We understand our local demographics and through consultations with local community leaders and organisations, we have identified a need to provide and support this sector, to engage with the diverse cultural backgrounds of Barnsley.
We are providing 2 hour sessions weekly that will incorporate sports and physical activity and social conversations with an aim that community members feel represented and valued within the Barnsley FC family!

The Home Debut Project
Our Home Debut programme has successfully introduced children to the excitement of attending their first match, providing a unique player experience prior to home fixtures. Participants engage in activities such as pre-match preparations, receiving their “My Home Debut” Shirt, training sessions, and scoring at halftime in front of the Oakwell crowd. Thanks to Barnsley FC and Palmers Construction, we offer complimentary tickets, making this experience memorable for children and their families.
