Reminiscent Reds: Connecting Through Memories
Delivered on a weekly basis, this initiative seeks to combat social isolation and increase engagement with the local community, the football club, its culture, and its history. This programme is designed for adults of all ages and provides a platform for fans to not only reminisce but engage. Additional activities will include stadium tours and guest speakers.
Our Reminiscent Reds programme has engaged 245 adults through weekly sessions and regular luncheons, effectively reducing social isolation for individuals aged 50 and over, including those with dementia, low mobility, and low self-esteem. Participants have reported feeling less lonely, enjoying activities like quizzes, games, and discussions focused on Barnsley FC while sharing memories.
