Eric Winstanley Shares his Memories of Barnsley FC

Reds in the Community’sĀ Our Club, Our Ground, Our Past, Our Future, is a campaign to tell the story of Barnsley Football Club through the memories of its supporters and community.

Our ClubĀ puts supporters at the heart of displays within Oakwell, and explores the Clubā€™s 130-year history through the eyes of the fans.

Supporters of all ages are encouraged to share their memories with us. Whether of a win in the 1960s or at last weekendā€™s match; at Oakwell in the ā€™80s or watching the Reds on the roadā€”we want to hear your stories of those special memories. Where it was, who you were with, how you got there, and maybe even what you ate; weā€™re looking for whatever it is that made these moments unforgettable for you.

Reds in the Community will feature some of the memories shared in displays at Oakwell. We hope that supporters and the wider community continue to share their memories and experiences of supporting Barnsley, through which fans continue to write the clubā€™s history, into the future.

Now is the chance to hear Barnsley FC legend Eric Winstanley’s favourite memories from his time at Oakwell!

Then send us yours using the dedicated form:
