Following several challenging months navigating COVID-19, we are now resetting and looking ahead with optimism. We require new committed individuals to join our board of trustees to support local recovery and develop our longer-term ambitions. We require motivated people who are sympathetic to the work of Reds in the Community to fulfil these unpaid and voluntary duties. We have a friendly board of trustees and we are keen to welcome like-minded individuals to support our work.
We expect trustees to contribute actively to the board by supporting the Chief Executive Officer to shape the charity’s work through creative and informed thinking. We want to have a wide range of people on the board that seek to be representative of the diverse population of Barnsley. There is no need to have prior trustee experience to apply. An interest in supporting local people using the vehicle of Reds in the Community is essential.
The board will meet 5 times a year at Barnsley Football Club, however there may also be occasions where decisions need to be made outside of board meetings.
