If you would like to use your skills and experience at board level to help expand our work, we very much look forward to hearing from you.

After several years of success and growth, we are now looking for new committed individuals to expand the range of trustee skills to develop our longer-term ambitions.  We require motivated people who are sympathetic to the aims and objectives of Reds in the Community to fulfil these voluntary duties.  We have a friendly board of trustees and we are keen to welcome new people to support our work.

We expect trustees to contribute actively to the board by supporting the Chief Executive Officer to shape the charity’s provision through creative and informed thinking. We want to have a wide range of people on the board that seeks to be representative of the diverse population of the borough.  There is no need to have prior trustee experience to apply. An interest in supporting local people through the work of Reds in the Community is essential.

Following a recent skills audit, we are particularly looking for individuals with Legal, Data Protection, Safeguarding and Policy development skills in order to deepen our expertise in these areas.

The board will meet 5 times a year at Barnsley Football Club, however, there may also be occasions where decisions need to be made outside of board meetings.
