Barnsley FC Community Trust offers Level 1, 2, 3 and Apprenticeship Sports Courses during the year covering a range of abilities for local young people aged 16 – 19.
Through an emphasis placed on partnership working, Barnsley FC Community Trust has established a number of targeted programmes that enables ‘hard to reach’ people and communities to fully participate in our work and society.
Barnsley FC Community Trustr is registered charity delivering community and charitable activities on behalf of Barnsley Football Club. We use the power of football and Barnsley Football Club to engage and improve the lives of local people.
Primarily activities operate on a ‘pay & play’ basis and provide opportunities for children and young people aged 2 -19 years to engage in grassroots sport with a focus on fun and being physically active.
Yorkshire and Humber NCS Regional Youth Board visited Oakwell to watch Barnsley v Sheffield United. Half time saw them walk around the pitch in front of thousands of fans to shout about NCS on our Reds in the Community launch day!
Afterwards they visited the Metrodome for a game of bowling before getting down to the some serious planning of future project to help the local Barnsley communtiy.
