Volunteers wanted for exciting international football tournament at Oakwell

An exciting opportunity has arisen for volunteers to contribute to the European Association for Sport and Social Integration (EASI) World Cup at Oakwell.

From 11-15 June 2018, England will host the EASI World Cup at Oakwell in partnership with Reds in the Community and you are invited to take part in a unique volunteering experience that will help make the event a roaring success.

The EASI is a group made up of health and community groups from 12 European countries who promote sport to improve the well-being of people with mental health issues and learning disabilities. Each year they hold a football tournament which brings together more than 25 teams.

Alongside helping to provide another brilliant occasion for the participants, volunteers will pick up valuable experience on both a personal and professional level.

We have a number of roles all with a unique part to play in making the EASI Cup an event that participants will remember for years to come.

Available roles include:

  • Security and safety officer
  • Pitch side first aider
  • Transport and travel
  • Catering
  • Sports official
  • Entertainment assistant
  • Marshall/steward

If you are interested in volunteering, please download the leaflet here and return it completed to Volunteer Services.
