Fostering Barnsley is set to take centre stage at Oakwell Stadium as they proudly host a special matchday takeover during Barnsley FC’s upcoming home fixture against AFC Wimbledon on 14th February.
The event aims to celebrate the remarkable contribution of foster carers across the borough and encourage more people to explore the life‑changing opportunity of fostering. Supporters arriving at Oakwell will be able to visit the Fostering Barnsley information stall outside the stadium, where friendly staff will be on hand to offer guidance, answer questions, and share resources with anyone interested in learning more.
Thanks to the generous support of Rapid Response, a number of complimentary tickets have been donated, allowing local foster carers and children to enjoy the match together. This gesture will help create a memorable day for families from Barnsley’s fostering community as they come together to cheer on the Super Reds.
At half‑time, members of the Fostering Barnsley team will take part in a special pitch walk. Fans are encouraged to give them a warm round of applause in recognition of their dedication and the positive difference they make to children’s lives every day.
