Our FIRST Women’s Shadow Scholarship has begun Pre-Season Training

The girls are starting a post 16 football and education programme delivered in partnership with Barnsley College. The girls will study either level 3 Sports Coaching or Level 3 Sports Science through our post 16 education team on site at Oakwell. They will then take part in a comprehensive football development programme, the shadow scholarship. Here the girls will train 4 times per week. Sessions will be delivered by UEFA B licence coaches and will be supported by a comprehensive team of sport science staff. The girls will follow a thorough strength and conditioning programme and have the service of sports therapy during training and for games. 

The women’s shadow scholarship will support the development of the players and their respective grassroots clubs that they will play for on weekends.
