RitC partners with Barnsley Council through the Skills for Life Multiply initiative

Reds in the Community are working in partnership with Barnsley Council through the Skills for Life Multiply initiative to engage and upskill more people with maths qualifications.

Here at RITC we will be hosting three events throughout March, all aimed at engaging more people in maths and showcasing how maths plays an important part in the everyday workings of Barnsley FC. These are open events, where the Barnsley community and fans alike are invited to take part, especially those aged 19+ who haven’t currently got a Maths qualification at functional skills level 2 or equivalent. As this programme progresses participants will be encouraged to enrol onto a maths qualification for free should they wish.

Our first event “The Moneyball Process” will include a Q and A session with our recruitment team, discussing how the Moneyball process is used in data analysis of potential transfer targets. The session will also give participants the opportunity to have a go at data analysis.

This session will run on Tuesday 14th March in the indoor centre at Oakwell Stadium 6pm – 7:30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend with qualifications or not.

There are a maximum of 30 places available for this 1st session, to book please complete the Eventbrite booking below. If you have any further questions, please contact [email protected]
