health and wellbeing

Barnsley FC Community Trust is proud to announce that Fair Shot, a nationwide football movement supported by the Refugee Council, will be joining us at Oakwell for the upcoming fixture against Stevenage on Saturday, January 31st.

Fair Shot is a campaign dedicated to uniting football fans across the country behind a shared goal of fairness and compassion for all, particularly refugees and those seeking sanctuary. By harnessing the power of football, the initiative aims to create inclusive spaces and promote understanding within communities.

As part of their visit, the Fair Shot team will watch the match before hosting an exciting training session and 5-a-side game on the outdoor astro pitch at Oakwell. This is a fantastic opportunity for Barnsley fans to get involved and show support for this important cause.

Inclusion Officer, Leanne Candler said, “We’re really pleased to welcome Fair Shot to Oakwell on matchday. Fair Shot is a great example of how football can bring people together and create positive experiences around the game.”
