Reds in the Community seeking to appoint Design Company for ‘Our Club, Our Ground, Our Past, Our Future’ Project
2017 will mark 130 years since Barnsley Football Club was formed in 1887, as well as marking 20 years since the club’s historic promotion to the Premier League in 1997. These anniversaries present Reds in the Community with a unique opportunity to highlight the heritage of Barnsley Football Club through involving members of the community, young and old, in exploring and telling the story of Barnsley FC and its home ground, Oakwell.
Reds in the Community’s ‘Our Club, Our Ground, Our Past, Our Future’ project will develop new heritage displays focusing on key events in Barnsley FC’s history from 1887 to the present day for Oakwell’s East Stand concourse.
Reds in the Community is seeking to appoint an experienced design company to design and produce graphic panels interpreting the heritage of Barnsley FC and its Oakwell Stadium for installation within the Oakwell Stadium as well as to design and produce temporary exhibition graphic panels for display in a range of settings.
The appointed design company will work with Reds in the Community from November 2016 until September 2017.
Interested design companies can contact Sarah Hughes, Heritage Officer with Reds in the Community on 01226 211333 or via [email protected] for a full Design Brief. The deadline for proposals to be submitted to Reds in the Community is 5pm on Monday 7th November 2016.
