During their fund-raising project in Barnsley Town Centre one of our NCS groups were approached by Mayor Sarah-Jane who stopped to have a chat about the work they are taking part in.

The team has raise over £500 to produce leaflets around addiction and homelessness to give out in Barnsley along with handing out some flowers to brighten peoples day. With the rest of their fundraising money they bought food to donate to Barnsley Churches Drop in Project who work with the homeless.

‘Me being me, i’m very nosey, and asked the question, and I’m very grateful that I did a delightful group of young people doing the best for the people of Barnsley and together would like to organise tea in the Parlour to highlight their excellent work’
