Barnsley FC Community Trust Short Breaks participant to be Barnsley FC mascot at Old Trafford.

,

We are thrilled for our Short Breaks participant Ethan, who has been chosen to walk out with the Reds in the Carabao Cup third round at Old Trafford.

Ethan has attended our Short Breaks programme for a number of years and is a staple example of how the programme can help young people such as himself. When Ethan joined us, he was reserved, had very little confidence, and would need reassurance to stay for a full session.

He has recently gone from strength to strength with his confidence and social skills increasing week on week. He is a popular member of the group and has made some strong friendships. His footballing skills have also improved, and he now plays for a mainstream team in Barnsley Premier League Kicks.

Barnsley FC Community Trust Inclusion Officer, Jake Batty said: We are thankful to give this opportunity to Ethan and would like to thank Barnsley FC and Manchester United for helping to make it happen. Ethan has worked hard over the course of the year and has shown real resilience and 100% deserves this wonderful experience. Well, done Ethan”

Ethan will walk out at the side of Barnsley FC ahead of the kick off at 8pm tonight. If you would like to watch you can do so on Sky Sports Football.

Good Luck Ethan, we hope you enjoy it.
