Fit Reds combines education about living a healthy lifestyle with football and fitness sessions, led by our FA qualified staff.
The twelve-week programme is tailored to the needs of each individual participant throughout the informative workshops and physical activity. The sessions are broken into 2 halves, a classroom workshop followed by various exercise. The classroom sessions look at nutrition and wellbeing including fats, sugar, alcohol, benefits of physical activity etc. The exercise is tailored so that everyone can benefit and it can involve, boxing fitness, team games such as football, netball, rounders and circuit training.
Alongside the health benefits, Fit Reds has a huge social aspect with it providing a chance to meet like-minded individuals in a relaxed environment.
Courses run as two separate groups, giving us the opportunity to run female only and male only sessions.
Once the programme has finished, there is also the opportunity to take part in weekly Fit Reds Vets sessions at Oakwell on Thursdays 8:30pm – 10:00pm.
