Chair of Trustees at Barnsley FC Community Trust, Dave Watson is set to take on The Contra Dam Bungee jump in Switzerland, which has also been seen in the James Bond movie Goldeneye. The jump is taking place on 30th September 2023.

Dave, and three others (Craig Douglas, Judd Pytlakowski and Glen Roberts) are taking part in the jump hoping to raise funds for Barnsley based Charity Matthews a Friend In Me. Matthew sadly passed away on 6th March 2012 aged 9 from an inoperable brain tumour. His parents and big sister Hannah set up the charity shortly after he died. This wonderful charity supports families of children with cancer across our area. They offer financial support to families who are struggling through the difficult time. They work closely with Sheffield Children’s Hospital to ensure the money raised is used in the best possible way and take comfort in the fact that Matthew’s memory is kept alive by helping others.
