The Barnsley Football Club squad took part in a signing session at today’s Holiday Camps.
21 of the Reds first-team side were joined by Manager Daniel Stendel in the Oakwell Indoor Centre.
The group all signed squad photos, footballs, boots and Barnsley FC merchandise for children attending Reds in the Community’s Cheerleading and Soccer Camps.
They also took the time to engage with the children, putting a huge smile on the kids’ faces in what is the final week of the Holiday Camps in Summer 2019.
Forward Jacob Brown spoke to Reds in the Community following the player visit and gave an update about his rehabilitation with his current injury.
He said: “It’s always good to see smiles on the young kids’ faces. When we walk in they are all cheering our names. It’s good to get involved with the little kids and stuff. It gets all of the lads bonding together and obviously for the fans it’s good as well.
“It’s hard. I got injured at the end of last season and it’s obviously carried onto the start of this season. I’ve been trying to support the lads and working hard to try and get back fit. Hopefully, it’ll be the Leeds game after the international break so it’ll be a good one to get into.”
Soccer Camps are running for the rest of the week for children aged 5-14 while Street Dance Camp is taking place for the final time on Thursday.
