Doorstep Sport Clubs
Doorstep Sport Clubs is funded through StreetGames UK and provide fun and informal sports clubs that operate at the right time, in the right place and in the right style. Doorstep Clubs provides a vibrant and varied sports to young people and is designed to grow their motivation and ability to adopt a sporting habit for life.
Doorstep Sport Clubs exist in many different forms and are delivered by a range of organisations. At their core, they provide young people aged 14-25 with accessible opportunities to take part in sport within their local community.
They aim to provide vibrant, varied, fun and sociable sessions, with a strong emphasis on youth leadership, incorporating fun and challenging activities to grow motivation for life-long participation in sport.
We aim to create opportunities for young people to lead, volunteer and support the Doorstep Club to enhance their personal and professional development.
Reds in the Community coaches deliver these multi-sport sessions through 2017 to encourage and develop the sports skills of young people in the local area. The scheduled sessions will provide both opportunities for young people to engage in physical activity and develop personally and professionally through opportunities to volunteer and gain qualifications.
Young people will be supported in volunteering throughout the project to help run the sessions with support from RITC staff. Accessing this volunteering focused programme will support young people to develop valuable life-skills and accredited qualifications through Activator Courses.
Details of when each session runs can be found below:

- Wednesday – Littleworth Lane
- Thursday – Royston Park
