SSE Wildcats Girls Football Centres

Reds in the Community are delighted to be running SSE Wildcats Girls Football Centres in partnership with the Football Association.

The sessions provide regular opportunities for girls aged 5-11 to play football at our indoor centre at Oakwell. During term time, they run on a weekly basis from 4:30-5:30 every Friday, costing just £2.50 per session!

SSE Wildcats Girls’ Football provide a safe environment where girls can try football for the first time. The initiative inspires participants to engage with football, meet new friends, develop fundamental skills, learn new things and create the foundation for a lifelong love of football. Sessions are adapted to suit the requirements and footballing ability of any participants.

Wildcats’ sessions are delivered in a fun and engaging environment which is created exclusively for girls. More than 200 clubs were piloted across England in 2017 and the scheme is now being extended to more than 900 centres with 26,000 participants across the country.
