Reds in the Community can provide primary schools in Barnsley with the opportunity to hold an Olympic Games themed Sports Day, either at school or here at Oakwell Stadium. Our Sports Days are planned, organised and delivered by RitC Coaches, offering school staff and teachers a stress-free Sports Day in which they can support their pupils and take in the atmosphere!

The Sports Day is adaptable to all year groups and allows each pupil to take part in eight events including sprint race, hurdles race, long distance race, relay race, long jump, triple jump, javelin and shot put. Before the day, the pupils taking part will be divided into eight nations. Pupils will be invited to wear their nation’s colours and to bring along banners and flags representing their nation.

Throughout the Sports Day, pupils will earn points for their nation by winning Bronze, Silver & Gold medals in each event. At the end of the day, all points will be added up and Bronze, Silver & Gold certificates will be given to the nations finishing 3rd, 2nd and 1st respectively.

Parents are invited to attend to support their children and to add to the atmosphere.
