Reds in the Community will be running a number of activities at the annual Barnsley Football Club Open Day this Sunday.
From 09:45-13:00 on Sunday 29 July, the Reds’ FREE Open Day will return to Oakwell ahead of the 2018/19 season.
Barnsley fans will have the chance to watch Daniel Stendel’s side in an open training session from 11am before a lucky group of supporters will join in with a couple of training drills on the hallowed turf of Oakwell.
After the session is finished, there will be the opportunity to meet the first team squad for pictures and autographs.
Staff and participants from Reds in the Community will also be in attendance, running a stall with a number of fun inflatables including the popular five-a-side pitch, penalty shootout and speed-o-meter from last year.
They will be able to answer any questions on RITC and the numerous programmes run in the local community on a daily basis.
Other activities on the day include being able to pose for pictures with Toby Tyke and sampling some of Oakwell’s new matchday menu.
There will also be the chance to make history as attendees at the Open Day will be attempting to break a Guinness World Record for the largest chair-based exercise class.
Why not stick around after the Open Day to watch the Barnsley FC Ladies in a pre-season with Burton Albion as well.
Kicking off at 14:00, the afternoon presents the perfect opportunity to check out the Ladies as they bid for promotion in the upcoming season under new management.
