Reds in the Community is a registered charity that uses the power of football and Barnsley Football Club to engage and improve the lives of local people through a range of activities and projects within four key themes – Education, Health, Sports Participation and Social Inclusion.
We are seeking to employ a skilled bid writer with a proven track record of securing new income streams from grant-making organisations, trusts and foundations.
You will be tasked with identifying new funding opportunities, submitting high quality tender and proposal documentation, presenting and answering tender questionnaires and playing a key role in achieving our growth objectives through successful bid applications.
You will work alongside the Chief Executive Officer and senior management team and in consultation with partners and beneficiaries when necessary.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree standard, or be able to demonstrate the equivalent proven employment experience. You will have exceptional writing skills and experience of developing and writing high quality funding applications and reports. You will manage funder relationships and oversee monitoring and evaluation requirements in liaison with project delivery teams.
This is a part-time position (3 days / 22.5 hours per week) with opportunity for an extension to the role subject to growth. The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and validation of references.
