Vacancy: Health & Wellbeing Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Reds in the Community for a new Health & Wellbeing officer.

This is a unique opportunity to be involved in a growing and passionate team based within the charity arm of Barnsley Football Club. The successful candidate will be required to develop and deliver sustainable health-based projects to targeted groups within the community using the brand and reach of Barnsley Football Club as a vehicle to make a difference.

Reds in the Community is a registered charity that uses the power of football and Barnsley Football Club to engage and improve the lives of local people through a range of activities and projects within four key themes – Education, Health, Sports Participation and Social Inclusion.

Reporting directly to the RITC Chief Executive Officer and being part of the Senior Management Team, the successful applicant will be qualified to degree level or equivalent with a proven track record of project management and achievement.  Experience and a sound knowledge of health improvement interventions across a range of age groups is essential.

The role will initially be on a 1 Year Fixed Contract with real opportunity for an extension subject to programme growth. The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and validation of references.
