Reds in the Community Supports World Heart Day!

, ,

Reds in the Community are proud to support World Heart Day and are keen to spread the message that football can be the perfect way to maintain a healthy heart.

As the charity arm of Barnsley Football Club, one of our key aims is to change the lives of people living in and around Barnsley through the healthy initiatives and schemes that we provide.

RITC is proud to support World Heart Day and a number of the schemes provided by the charity help to promote healthy lifestyle and a healthy heart.

Some of these initiatives include Walking Football, our Fit Reds programme, Soccercise and brand new initiatives, like our UV Football.

Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) is the leading cause of death and disability in the world, but being active and getting involved in sports like football can make a huge difference.

Only 30 minutes of moderate exercise five days a week can boost heart health and help to reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke.

For more information, visit the World Heart Day website to find out more.
