Daniel Jinadu named PFA Community Champion 21/22

We are delighted to announce Daniel Jinadu has been named PFA Community Champion for the 2021/2022 season. The Award recognises and champions players all around the country who give the most back to their communities.

Daniel was nominated this year, for the work he has done with us particularly within our education department. Daniel has been working with our students sharing his experiences and giving advice where necessary. He acts as a role model to our students especially on our football programmes, he is currently studying a part time degree in psychology whilst playing. Which helps highlight the importance of education to our students.

Daniel added “I’m delighted to receive this award, it’s such an honour and shows the positive impact I can have on the people and community around Barnsley and I’m really humbled to receive it.”

He recently attended one of our Team Talk Mental Health sessions to celebrate the EFL’s week of action. Taking part in activities such as pool, table tennis and FIFA, he was fantastic in engaging with participants and stayed over the requested period of time to ensure he spoke with everyone.

Reds in the Community CEO, Paul France added:

“As a club charity one of our biggest assets is our players, Daniel has continually supported our students and become a real role model, so this award is well deserved”

Well Done, Daniel and Thank you!
