Reds players past and present visit Social Isolation group for EFL Week of Action.

Earlier today we were delighted to welcome Barnsley FC players past and present to our Reminiscent Reds group.

Barry Murphy, Kayode Odejayi, Barry Cotter and Donovan Pines stopped by to take part in the group designed to help combat social isolation.

Sessions are open to individuals and incorporates activities and inspire fans, deepening their connections and sense of belonging.

We also welcomed Club partner Burendo who brought along cupcakes and biscuits. Everyone took part in a quiz designed by volunteer Phil Hall.

Head of Health and Wellbeing at Barnsley FC Community Trust Sean Margison said, “it’s been great to welcome the players down to the group. It has given our participants the opportunity to engage with them and go head-to-head in the weekly quiz. We’d also like to thank Burendo for coming along and bringing some sweet treats”

Our Reminiscent Reds programme runs every Wednesday 2-3:30pm in The Ozone at Oakwell Stadium.
